Check the ONCC web site for information about the 2012 awards and links to the nomination forms.  The nomination deadline for the 2012 OCN of the Year, CBCN of the Year, Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse of the Year, and Employer Recognition Awards will be December 1, 2011. The nomination deadline for the 2012 Certified Pediatric Oncology Nurse of the Year will be April 1, 2012.

ONCC offers a FREE recognition plaque to any patient care setting where a majority of professional nurses (more than 50%) are ONCC-certified. Apply for your organization's recognition plaque or for a replacement certificate for your existing plaque.

 Volunteer to write items for future forms of the AOCNP and AOCNS Examinations! Selected participants will be required to attend two virtual meetings (2 hours in length) prior to an in person workshop at the ONCC national headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA on April 20-22, 2012. Participants will receive an instructional workbook, detailed instruction on how to write multiple choice test items, and one-to-one mentoring from experienced item writers. Test item writing requires strong writing skills and a broad knowledge base. Previous experience in test item writing and test development are not required but may be helpful. Participants will receive one ONC-PRO point toward recertification for each three acceptable items submitted. ONC-PRO points may be used for certification renewal through 2015. Please apply online by February 2, 2012.
